Whilst the projects underway or completed to date at the yard have been classic 'gulet' style of mainly wood construction, our team is well placed to build motor and sailing yachts of any specifications using wood, steel or composite construction techniques.

Our naval architects translate clients' wishes into aesthetically sound and functional exterior and interior designs. Once the broad principles of the design have been agreed, detailed drawings are produced to guide the construction process from start to finish.

The build process is carried out by the yard's own specialist craftsmen and by selected suppliers who have previously worked on the building of Carpe Diem yachts, as well as with the appropriate classification specialists from RINA or Lloyds.

All stages of fitting are carried out on-site, and our in-house teams and subcontractors - from carpenters to electrical systems suppliers - have their own areas inside the facility to ensure seamless close working and quality control. Post

Delivery:
The relationship between boatyard, yacht and owner does not end on the day a yacht is delivered to its new owner: our service philosophy is to provide continued assistance to owners and their crews wherever, whenever, to ensure that the boat's transition from yard to sea, and thereafter, is smooth and enjoyable. This follow-on programme includes manuals for all on-board systems and machinery, a boat management and maintenance plan, and 24 hour telephone assistance.

Yacht Management:
Certain owners may wish for Carpe Diem to have a hands-on role in the continued management of their vessel, and our management team will oversee the maintenance of the yacht, management of the crew, accounts and supplies. Our yacht management division also organises crew searches and placement, supervises refits, arranges vessel surveys and advises on registration and taxation issues.

Charter Management:
Charter is one way for owners to defray the cost of running a yacht by generating income. Carpe Diem's Management Team has more than a decade of experience of brokering yachts for charter and managing the whole process from marketing the yacht to existing client portfolios and international brokers, through to hands-on organization of the tiniest details which ensure both a happy owner and clients who are delighted with their charter experience.
